Educate

& inspire generations

REEFolution developed a marine environmental education program which fits different target audiences. We believe in improving knowledge and understanding of marine environments and their challenges, particularly sustainable use and stewardship of marine resources. With that knowledge communities can act to support the reef.

Educate

Young learners from local primary and secondary schools are future marine conservation leaders. The program educates them with conservation knowledge, so we create a strong pool of young conservation ambassadors.

Empower

We use an experiential learning approach to educate and empower. We identify local community members and their leaders, engage them with hands-on experiences to better understand our coral reef restoration efforts.

Activate

Engaging the ‘general public’ is crucial to build social trust in our marine restoration work. Through marine dialogues at the local communities (Beach Managment Unit) ‘baraza’ meetings, we ignite the conservation spirit and acceptance. With knowledge and empowerment, local communities can take positive actions to conserve the reef.

Once you Sea. you’ll understand

With the Virtual Reality (VR) program, we create marine education content which brings the ocean closer to any local. The VR experience is a 360 degrees underwater view that ignites curiosity and know how about the ocean, rich biodiversity, opportunities, and challenges facing our oceans.

you can do

The planet needs a healthy ocean to survive and so do we. REEFolution can’t save coral reefs on its own. Our successes are possible thanks to the generosity of our donors.
